Patient Participation Group

Join our Patient Group!

Would you be interested in joining our virtual patient participation group (PPG)?

The PPG is a collection of patients at a surgery who have an interest in the services provided. The PPG crosses barriers to embrace diversity and works in partnership with the surgery to improve common understanding and help identify new services to meet patients’ needs.

Do you have something to say but do not have the time to attend meetings?

Our group is made of a ‘core group’ who attend face-to-face meetings as well as a wider group that functions on social media and email.

Do you have ideas on how to improve your local practice?

To get the most out of our Practice, we want to create a safe, friendly outlet for helpful, constructive ideas & comments. We encourage patients to join regardless of age, gender, or background to be a part of our continuous improvement at the Practice.

If you would like to join or find out more, please email woottonpatientgroup@gmail.com.

FAQ’s

What is a PPG?

This is a group of volunteer patients who are involved in making sure the surgery meets patients’ needs.

How will we communicate?

Communication will be via email (woottonpatientgroup@gmail.com) or via our private PPG social media page (both remain confidential within PPG members) as well as face-to-face meetings of the core group.

What is expected of a PPG member?

We want to create a safe, friendly outlet for helpful and constructive ideas and comments. Your experiences matter and you can bring different ideas to the surgery to help us treat patients better and help us improve what we do in some way. We are looking for honest, open, and constructive feedback, this is not a forum to vent, complain, and be personal.

How much time do I need to commit?

Your choice! We will communicate accordingly and if you want to be involved, just respond! We would like you to participate at least quarterly for you to remain an active member.

Who can be a PPG member at WMC?

Any registered patient. If you are no longer a patient, your registration will automatically cease.

What if I join then decide I no longer want to be a part of the PPG?

You can leave at any time, just let the group know via email (as above), or our Chair (David) or Vice Chair (Phil).
